DINA Digest 01/05 – 07/05

Sharing is caring!

It’s been slightly quieter at DINA this week, it could well be said we’re having a bit of a breather for what lies ahead for the rest of the month, which is packed. We’ve updated our listings up until June (June’s shaping up to be even busier and those listings will be up very soon, just as we’ve confirmed a few bits and bobs.), so you can have a look at the delights in store, everything from Sheffield Gin Festival, to Daft Chuffs Comedy Night, and UnShut Festival of performing arts.

Speaking of performance, we’ve had an immersive one in our building this week as Sheffield University Theatre Company have been using the entire first floor for their “Breathing Corpses” show by promising dramatist Laura Wade, which completely sold out.

Moving on to this Friday and Club Wow Wow touches down once again for a night of variety cabaret, all hosted by the compere without compare Stan Skinny. For just £4 (£3 conc.) we have four acts showcasing the kind of things you can see at our Creative Tuesdays evenings throughout the month.

The music for the night is provided by two acts, the soulful and folky Teah Lewis and the eclectic talents of James Ewan Tait.

Poetry comes from Chesterfield’s Matt McAteer, serving up a verbal buffet fast, loud and with a wry smile.

Comedy for the night is from Tom King, the award winning comic who will be familiar to those who come down to our Daft Chuffs Comedy nights.

It all starts from 8pm, so we look forward to seeing you down here for a great night’s entertainment.
