A look back on the first month of Creative Tuesdays… and a bit about the future!

Uncategorised
February heralded the start of Creative Tuesdays, a series of events at DINA showcasing new and established work from artists, comedians, poets, musicians, writers, film makers and dreamers, and what a month it has been. From the attendance and feedback it has gained, it looks like it is building into a real creative movement in the city. Arkade, Daft Chuffs, Wordlife and Sheffield Songwriters are all back for March,  and we are also seeing the start of the Creative Lounge on Sunday the 19th at 1600, a scratch event for theatre makers, dancers, performance artists and other performers to test out new works, so do check that out. Also on the horizon is the return of Club Wow Wow, which will be a showcase cabaret of acts that have appeared…

Uncategorised
Dare we say it, but we are kind of becoming at least a burgeoning deal on the improv scene in Sheffield, and on Wednesday February 8, we heartily welcome esteemed and bloody funny comedy panel show podcast "A Little Bit Racey" for their first ever show in front of a live audience. A Little Bit Racey has grown from an idea from a bunch of friends at uni to wing its way to fruition in Sheffield, and co-producer Sam Hutchinson had a word with us about how it has become a continuingly fledgling fixture in the world of improv. Sam said: "The show started life at Bournemouth University, where a small group of us in a performance society wanted to test-drive something ambitious and comedic on our student radio station…

We are back! (Our website that is)

Uncategorised
After finally managing to get to the bottom of what cracked off when our website went costa-del-blowfly, we had to rebuild it again. Turns out we were actually hacked. We're ruling out the Russians for our own safety, it could have been people unhappy the revolving dancefloor on the Stardust floor does not work. Either way, our web presence here is back. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter of course, on this site we aim to feature more in depth articles as to events that are put on here, and just what we are doing in general and plotting and scheming for the future. Joey.
