Led by Lauren Hart
Saturday Workshops are open to everybody no matter of experience. They are Pay-as-you-feel to allow everyone to get involved and all the funds go towards the workshop facilitator, who uses the space for free.
If you want to run a workshop in the future, please get in touch.
This workshop will focus on multidisciplinary approaches to developing skills in devising theatre through various exercises and training methods. All work will be developed collaboratively from scratch rather than using existing scripts. The focus is on the creation process. Using a stimulus such as a found object, image, text or improvisation to generate material for performance.
Throughout the session there will be an opportunity to develop your own short performance with the potential for further development. You will be given the chance to work solo, in small groups and as an ensemble. You are part of the creation process, led and structured by Theatre Maker Lauren Hart.
Aimed at anyone interested in collaborative performance making. No prior experience required. Please wear comfortable clothes, be prepared to work barefoot or in studio shoes and bring a bottle of water.
Feedback from past participant of my Devising Theatre workshop:
‘It was a really amazing experience for me, and the way you taught was very nurturing for a beginner.’
